Meeting with Ana from @anna.m.sanz - Momterview #5
In this 5th episode of Momterview, we had the pleasure of meeting Ana, mother of a little princess and blessed with a rich Spanish culture.
She shares with us her daily life as a content creator, musician and mother. Read until the end! She tells us about her most beautiful collaboration which makes us dream a little too! 🥰
- Hello Ana, can you introduce yourself?
Hello, I'm Ana. I'm a violinist and content creator of Spanish origin. I have lived in France for five years and I have had the opportunity to integrate into this beautiful culture. A year and a half ago, my life took a wonderful turn with the birth of my daughter Chloë. Since then, I have been juggling my role as a mother and my professional activities, and it has been an extraordinary adventure.
- As a Spanish mother living in Paris, have you had to adapt your lifestyle? If yes, how ?
The biggest difference is in the schedules. I had to adapt to having lunch and dinner much earlier than I was used to in Spain, and I also adjusted my daughter's habits accordingly. This changed the structure of our entire day, but we gradually got used to it.
- Can you describe a typical day in your life as a mom and content creator?
Every day is unique. Some days I do photo shoots, other days I answer a pile of emails, and there are also days dedicated to editing, rehearsals, or concerts. We usually get up at 7:30, have breakfast together, then I spend some time playing with Chloë before starting work. During his nap, I take the opportunity to play the violin. Then we have lunch together (if Chloë is still sleeping, I eat while working on the computer, answering emails or watching videos for inspiration). In the afternoon we like to go to the park if the weather is nice. Two or three times a week we dine out. Back at home, I prepare Chloë's bath and her dad puts her to bed around 9 p.m. I then use an hour or two to work, mainly editing videos for YouTube, as it is a task that requires a lot of time and attention.
- What are your favorite Kids-Friendly places in Paris?
Chloë is one and a half years old, and for the moment she is adapting to our plans because she is still too small for certain activities like going to the cinema or the theater, and the water parks are only accessible from three years old . So we do what we want to do and she is always happy and smiling, she seems to be having fun. We have an annual pass to Disneyland and go about every month and a half because almost all of the attractions are toddler friendly. We often collaborate with restaurants, where the staff are always very friendly to Chloë, sometimes offering her pencils to draw or a cookie. Generally we don't have any problems with the stroller, they always help us fold it and find a place. Some of our favorite places are Café Kitsuné (at the Louvre, because it's bigger), Café Latéral , Pepita Paris and Café de l'Homme .
- What do you like to find in a children's clothing brand? (Materials, cut, commitment, etc...)
When I think about what I like to find in a children's clothing brand, several aspects come to mind. For my daughter, I appreciate clothes that combine simplicity and elegance, with soft shades like beige, white, powder pink and sky blue, thus creating a certain softness. I pay attention to the quality of materials and favor cotton and wool for their comfort and durability, carefully avoiding materials like polyester. Additionally, I take a practical "Capsule Wardrobe" approach each season, selecting versatile pieces like jeans in different shades, black leggings and white blouses, to which I add coats like a trench or puffer jacket beige, as well as comfortable shoes like white sneakers, to create easy-to-match and durable outfits.
- As a young mother, what advice would you give to our community to successfully juggle private and professional life?
As a young mother, I believe that organization is essential to juggling private and professional life successfully. Personally, I've found it helpful to have a to-do list for each day on my laptop, which I divide into categories such as "home", "work: creative", "work: violinist", and specific tasks for the day like “appointment to the pediatrician” or “go to the post office”. This approach helps me prioritize and manage my time effectively, which allows me to devote the necessary time to my family as well as my professional activities. Finding a balance between the two spheres of my life relies on careful organization and judicious time management.
- Can you give us your Kidiwi favorites?
My favorites at Kidiwi are without a doubt their dresses. They remind me of the beautiful dresses my grandmother made me when I was a child. Being able to dress Chloë in these creations gives me immense joy and a certain nostalgia. It is a real pleasure to perpetuate this family tradition through Kidiwi Handmade clothing.
- What is the most unique experience you have had while being a content creator?
Of the many experiences I've had as a content creator, I think the trip to Peru I took with other creators is the most memorable. This trip was even more special for me because I was pregnant at the time, although I didn't know it yet. So it was my first trip with Chloë, even though she was still in my belly at the time. This experience not only allowed me to discover new horizons and create inspiring content, but it also marked the start of a new adventure with my upcoming daughter.
